Making Progress, Inc. a non-profit empowering individuals to contribute directly to the evolution of science, technology and the arts, launched a new website focused on connecting individual donors with cutting-edge university-based academic and research programs.

Making Progress is currently raising a fund to demonstrate the demand for its services and will unveil the first univeristy projects available to donors in March 2008.

Tom Flinn of Providence, RI, when asked why he chose to support the organization said, "I have diabetes, and at the moment, most applicable research is out of my reach. Through Making Progress, I will be able to find and directly contribute to research that I believe could one day save my life and the lives of many others."

"Tom is not alone," said Owen Johnson, founder of Making Progress, "in researching the demand for our service I have spoken with countless individuals who would love to find, support and track the progress of projects that are personally meaningful to them. At this time, it's just not possible for the average donor to reach out and connect with projects at universities. Making Progress will make these currently inaccessible projects accessible."
